Head of Judiciary, Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei c/o Embassy of Iran to the European Union Avenue Franklin Roosevelt No. 15 1050 Brussel, BELGIË Heerhugowaard, March, 2024 Dear Mr Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei, I am writing You as a person who is concerned with the respect of Human Rights, therefore I like to express my great concern about the situation of NARGES MOHAMMADI With this letter I want to express my great concern for Nobel Peace Prize winner and human rights defender Narges Mohammadi. She has been arbitrary detained in Evin prison since 6 November 2021 solely for her peaceful human rights activities. She is currently serving multiple sentences amounting to a total of 12 years and 11 months in prison, in addition to other cruel, inhuman, and degrading punishments including 154 lashes. I call on You to immediately and unconditionally release Narges Mohammadi as she is a prisoner of conscience, to quash her unjust convictions and sentences, and drop any criminal proceedings against her in relation to the peaceful exercise of her human rights. Pending her release, Narges Mohammadi must be provided with adequate healthcare, including for treatment unavailable in prison, and with all the medication she requires. She must also be protected from further torture and other ill-treatment. Thank you for Your attention in this very important matter, I am looking forward to Your reply and positive news about Narges Mohammadi Yours sincerely and respectfully,
