President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi Office of the President Al Ittihadia Palace Cairo ARAB REPUBLIC OF EGYPT Heerhugowaard, datum Your Excellency, I am writing You as a person who is concerned with the respect of Human Rights, therefore I like to express my great concern about the situation of ASER MOHAMED I know, Your Excellency has the capacity to include Aser Mohamed in a Presidential Pardon. This boy was convicted of a felony by a criminal court, only the court of cassation can review his verdict. Aser Mohamed was arrested on 12 January 2016, only 14 years old. After his arrest he was subsequently subjected to enforced disappearance for 34 days. After this period, on 15 February 2016, Aser Mohamed appeared before the Supreme State Security Prosecution in New Cairo for questioning without the presence of his lawyer. The prosecutor charged Aser Mohamed with belonging to the banned Muslim Brotherhood Group and participating in the 7 January 2016 hotel attack. Aser Mohamed denied the charges, and stated the confessions were obtained under torture. On 12 October 2019, the Cairo Criminal Court sentenced Aser Mohamed to 10 years in prison. I urge you to release Aser Mohamed immediately and unconditionally in a Presidential Pardon, because his detention is unlawful. Thank you for your attention in this important matter, and I am looking forward to positive results and news. Yours sincerely and respectfully,    (handtekening + naam en adres) The Netherlands
